Obedient to the Truth – Dirk & Donique

The Word of God in Rom 3:10-12 says that: There is no one righteous, not even one. There is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God. All have turned away; all alike have become useless. There is no one who does what is good, not even one.

And so all of us start off with our lives…not knowing God, not seeking Him. But in His loving kindness, He has chosen a people for Himself and sent His only Son to live a perfect life on earth, in the midst of the daily temptations of sin, in order to save us from eternal death. The sweet Gospel! And we taste the freeing power of God’s truth in our lives when He gives us faith to believe this and His Holy Spirit to live this. Like all of us, Dirk and Donique has also walked their own way, living their worldly lives and leaning on their own understanding. BUT God, in His mercy, brought them from the darkness into the light and gave them a true love for His Word and His commands. What an amazing God we serve, that truly has the power to save us from our own unrighteous paths, Who changes our hearts of stone into hearts of flesh, and leads us on the truthful way everlasting. Praise Him!

This was the song in my heart on the day when Dirk and Donique got married! God’s goodness and grace. Dirk and Donique, thank you for the wonderful privilege that I could have in telling the story of your love for your God and for each other. We rejoice in being able to walk this journey of sanctification in Christ together, serving Him in truth and love. May you faithfully endure as a testimony of God’s Spirit in you, and may we continue to be there for each other, admonishing, correcting and encouraging each other on the narrow way of His Truth.
