Schalk & Chrissy @ Gecko Ridge

Schalk and Crissy had a very interesting wedding day, doing things a little different than usual.  This beautiful young greek lady married an ‘afrikaanse boertjie’ which sought for an interesting mix of Greek Orthodoxy and traditional ceremonies, combined with a Christ centred evangelical message.

Although Chrissy doesn’t really like a camera and photos being taken of her, I managed to capture a beautiful story of their day and of the people they treasure.  It was very evident that they value their friendship with their close relatives and other friends invited, very highly.  Also so special to see the close relationship between Schalk and his sister, and how she can finally bless her brother and support him with his new life together with Crissy.  And Chrissy’s family’s love for Schalk…all of this made the day so special to me.

Crissy thank you for baring with me, trying to steal as many moments possible.  I enjoyed the challenge!  May the two of you have an amazing journey ahead of you!  Lots of love, Lucinda
