By God’s grace Eugene and Cecile met each other and found so much love and joy in their companionship. And amazing to understand that this day was already part of God’s plan for their lives, before the foundation of the earth. As David in Psalm 139:1-6,16-17 says so beautifully:

Lord, You have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I stand up;
You understand my thoughts from far away.
You observe my travels and my rest;
You are aware of all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue,
You know all about it, Lord.
You have encircled me;
You have placed Your hand on me.
This extraordinary knowledge is beyond me.
It is lofty; I am unable to reach it.

Your eyes saw me when I was formless;
all my days were written in Your book and planned
before a single one of them began.
God, how difficult Your thoughts are
for me to comprehend;
how vast their sum is!

How can we go through this, without the intense emotions of gratitude and awe towards our God! And yet, sooner or later we will get to a place where those feelings fade and the challenges of daily living overwhelm us…and then we forget God’s good work in our lives and we become discontent and we fall into sin. And specifically this is the Good News of His Gospel, that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to save us from our misery; our own sinful and destructive paths to hell. And not only does He receive all the glory for our salvation, but He also gives us a Helper, the Holy Spirit and His revealed Word, so that we no longer have to be slaves of our own sin, but walk in the victory of His help and strength.

Eugene & Cecile, thank you soooo much for the wonderful privilege to capture the story of your wedding day…all your joy and love for each other. You truly blessed us! Our prayer is that you will walk this journey, not in your own strength, but in humility submit yourselves to God’s will, His Word. Know Him, Praise Him, Love Him and live zealously for Him!
