Joel & Lara in the valleys of Africa…Hoedspruit April 2010

Winter is yet upon us again as we traveled to Yamati just outside Hoedspruit inside the borders of Mpumalanga.  Regardt(videographer) and I was blown away by the breathtaking tropical surroundings as we arrived on the friday to have a look around for backdrops to capture the unity of Joel and Lara. Early morning Saturday we drove around and found ourselves between the last of the Drakensberg mountain range on the Blyderiver dam wall.  Amped and so excited about what we felt and saw that we just could not wait for the day to start.  Looking up we saw some clouds gathering with the concern of the light for couple photos knowing that we are going to need direction from Jesus to guide us creatively.  The couple was so great and open for anything which made it an absolute feast to go that extra mile.   What moved me was the gifts on the table…the story of the shells and the significant meaning behind it. The couple went to a Mozambican island(Pansy island) that is visible only at low tide where they hand picked the shells for each person at their wedding.  A testimony of two people who treasure their relationship not only between themselves but with everyone in their lives. Thank you for the lovely stay over as Regardt and I had a good rest before we went back home..  May God keep that special gift glowing between the both of you and may His grace flow like a healthy river in your relationship as husband and wife created by Him.  Love Garick
