The ‘Famous Wedding Garment’

We are on our way to photograph a wedding in Germany and decided to visit three Greek Islands on the way. Santorini is a visual heaven and who wouldn’t dream of a wedding in Santorini! Just the thought got me so excited, that I literally couldn’t sleep and when I did sleep, I dreamt! Only problem, we don’t have a wedding to photograph in Santorini.
I could manage to arrange a shoot with a beautiful South African couple that live in Amsterdam. One thing led to the next and now Gert and Maryke will be joining us for a shoot in Amsterdam and then…yes, also her favourite destination…Paris!! Gert and Maryke is getting married in SA in December and her wedding dress is still in the making. How can we not feel tempted to photograph a bridal couple-to-be, in love, in Paris, with a wedding garment.
So I asked my dear friend and dress designer, Rachel (Ivy Design), if we can maybe borrow one of her beautiful creations for our trip. Rachel didn’t only say yes, but she spoilt us with a garment that she made specially for our trip. Our requirements was: very light-weighted, non-creasing and the right size for Maryke please. All the requirements were met and this beautiful dress was made in a record time of 8 hours!! Thank you friend, you are a star and may this bless you! We love you!
All this dreaming and praying and talking to God, the one who loves us more than we can ever imagine or think of, orchestrated something I will treasure in our relationship forever…I will call it ‘The Famous Wedding Garment’.
This garment is not only featuring in beautiful Amsterdam and the famous and romantic Paris in France, but also in the idyllic and picturesque Santorini.

Jy het jouself weereens bewys as ‘n eersteklas fotograaf, soos die jare verby gaan word jy net nog beter en beter.
‘n Mens kan sien dat jy werklik ‘n passie het vir dit wat jy doen, en dat jy werklik omgee vir alles en almal wat jy fotografeer.
God se seen in julle lewens kan gesien word in alles wat julle doen.
Die “Famous Wedding Garment” fotos is pragtig en julle modelle so spontaan ‘n mens sal dink dat hulle werklik ‘n paartjie is.
