Praise to our Sovereign God – Dave & Camilla

O LORD, you have searched me and known me!
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.
You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O LORD, you know it altogether.
You hem me in, behind and before,
and lay your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high; I cannot attain it.
Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!
If I take the wings of the morning
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me.
If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me,
and the light about me be night,”
even the darkness is not dark to you;

This is a long story.  Camilla has been my Pilatus instructor for 3 years now and over this period we have had endless talks about God and His Word…always wondering if it was His plan for Camilla to get married?!  There was a few interesting tests of faith on the way…tests of faith and true obedience to God’s commands to be holy.  What an amazing journey to witness when a lady stays faithfull to her God and trusts in His sovereign plans.  And more so amazing, the day when she told me that there is a Godly man that she is starting to become more aware of.  And as if the preciousness of such a discovery was not enough, I truly praised God for the beautiful manner in which he wooed her and guided their relationship into a solid place.

Because of my acquaintance I don’t get to see them together really, which made photographing their wedding day very special.  And not only could I sense in Camilla, prior to the wedding, that she is truly content with her new found love…I could clearly, shall I say, we all could clearly see that there is no end to this relationship!  Their love and friendship unfolded like a flower in front of my camera…just revealing more and more of it’s beauty!

Praise to God for His work in their lives and that we can marvel at it’s God glorifying beauty.  Lots of love, Lucinda
