Glory to God – Rohan & Bennedy
22 December 2012…a wedding that I haven’t had a chance to blog, for several reasons. BUT, I planned to savour it for the future and now is the time. Bennedy’s sister, Benita, got married this past weekend and I had a chance to return to this beautiful farm and these special people that are captured in these images. And may I do this for a different reason. Not to blog my usual record of weddings, but to bring glory to God.
Glory to God for sovereignly connecting our lives with the lives of Rohan & Bennedy, Johnathan & Benita, and Bennie & Lydia.
Glory to Christ for His Saving work within us, His Spirit’s help and promise to us.
Glory to God for His Sanctifying work in our lives since 22 December 2012.
Glory to God for His Word that is the only ruling authority in our hearts.
Glory to God for His Son’s love that is stirred within us.
Glory to God that we can grow together and persevere as His saints, bringing Him ALL the glory when we are able to abide in Him.
Ever grateful, ever amazed at His Sovereign Grace in our lives. Love in Christ, Lucinda
We have also received an inheritance in Him, predestined according to the purpose of the One who works out everything in agreement with the decision of His will, so that we who had already put our hope in the Messiah might bring praise to His glory. When you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and when you believed in Him, you were also sealed with the promised Holy Spirit. He is the down payment of our inheritance, for the redemption of the possession, to the praise of His glory. This is why, since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, I never stop giving thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers. I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the perception of your mind may be enlightened so you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the glorious riches of His inheritance among the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power to us who believe, according to the working of His vast strength. He demonstrated this power in the Messiah by raising Him from the dead and seating Him at His right hand in the heavens— far above every ruler and authority, power and dominion, and every title given, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And He put everything under His feet and appointed Him as head over everything for the church, which is His body, the fullness of the One who fills all things in every way. – Ephesians 1:11-23
