Driving with a bunch of strangers to Botswana and spending 7½ hours at the border is the perfect recipe for making friends, making good friends. This is how my trip started to the “Boere troue op die plaas” of the year! Adele got what she wanted with all the family and friends gathering in the house and at the “tent dorp”, helping and sharing love this wonderful day. Not even all the rain that fell during the 2 weeks prior to the wedding could dampen this couple’s spirit. The only small adjustment due to the rain was the ceremony had to be moved from the dry river to the embankment.A few minutes into the ceremony the heavens opened up and it rained again… but not even this “unplanned confetti from above” could take the smile of Adele’s face.

Chélli, you have my vote for wedding coordinator  (and friend) of the year! JP, thank you for the safe journey !
